The Sheridan Events Committee invites Hamilton County to Main Street in Sheridan for the annual Harvest Moon Festival this weekend.
Festivities begin at noon on Saturday, Oct. 4 with vendor booths lining Main Street and Ohio Carnival Company’s carnival rides and games. Guests can visit the food court to find an assortment of food trucks offering sweet treats, savory dishes, and seasonal drinks. A 21-and-over margarita bar will also serve festive cocktails, beer, and wine.
Local emcee DJ Drew with Cypress Breeze Productions will host live music by Bel & The Bad Wolfe, Steve Fulton, Molter Brothers, Brandon Wright, and Opal Muse. The stage will also feature activities like line dancing with Laty Holler, karaoke, a costume contest, and more.
This year’s Harvest Moon Festival was planned with Sheridan’s Main Street at the heart of it, with a focus on creating a positive impact on the local economy. Many downtown shops are joining in on the fun:
- The Blooming Beauty will host pumpkin decorating.
- Main Architects will show off their animated Halloween display.
- Local creative co-working space The Craft Room will welcome families in for a craft.
Also on Main: hay rides, a trick-or-treat activity, and the inaugural Scarecrows on Main competition, featuring 19 local businesses handmade scarecrows. Guests are encouraged to vote for their favorite before the winner is announced on Sunday.
Join the Sheridan Events Committee from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 4 and from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 5. Parking is available on side streets and throughout downtown Sheridan, with overflow parking at EMC Precision, 701 S. Main St. The handicap-only parking lot is located at 201 S. Main St.
