A late touchdown from Homestead sent Noblesville to a 13-10 loss Friday, Aug. 29 at Beaver Stadium.
The Spartans scored first with an early passing touchdown in the first quarter. Caden Lydle got Noblesville on the board with a 43-yard field goal later in the period, then the Millers took a 10-7 lead when Cody Prater caught a 14-yard touchdown pass from Windsor Hutchins. But Homestead took the lead for good with a 22-yard touchdown pass midway through the fourth quarter.
Hutchins completed 17 of 22 pass attempts, totaling 102 yards. Prater made six of those catches. Praise Oladipupo led the tackles with six, including a sack. Ty Holmes had 2.5 tackles for a loss, while Alex Hamm made two TFLs.
Noblesville is 1-1 and hosts Fishers this Friday to begin Hoosier Crossroads Conference play.
