Guerin Catholic won a road game at Heritage Christian 28-25 Friday, Sept. 5.
Golden Eagles quarterback Quentin Klee scored the game’s first touchdown on a sneak midway through the first quarter, but Heritage made a short TD run to finish the period, tying the contest at 7-7.
Klee found Isaiah Lewis for a 63-yard touchdown to start the second quarter, with HC responding again with a long scoring drive. The halftime score was 14-14.
Klee and Lewis combined for another touchdown in the third quarter, pushing the Golden Eagles ahead 21-14 going into the fourth quarter. Heritage opened that period with a field goal, but seconds later, GC’s Jack Linden made a two-yard run to clinch the win.
Klee completed 14 of 19 throws for 230 yards. Lewis finished the game with five receptions.
Guerin Catholic is 2-1 and travels to Brebeuf Jesuit this Friday to begin Circle City Conference play.
