The Carmel girls soccer team hosted its own invitational Saturday, Aug. 30.
The Greyhounds beat Walsh Jesuit from Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio 3-0 in their first game. Adalyn Cameron scored two of Carmel’s goals, with Emma Ehret scoring one.
Carmel played to a 0-0 tie with Cathedral in its second game Saturday but came back Tuesday to beat Center Grove 4-0. Stats were not available at press time.
The Greyhounds are 5-2 and host Mishawaka Marian Friday night.

The Hamilton Heights girls team defeated Yorktown 4-2 in a Saturday, Aug. 30 game.
Stella Taylor and Brooke Cox each scored two goals for the Huskies. Mazie Morrison, Macy Bradley and Taylor all made one assist.
Heights is 2-5 and plays at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon at University.

Guerin Catholic beat Bethesda Christian 14-0 on Saturday, Aug. 30 for their first win of the season.
The Golden Eagles are 1-4-1 and play a Circle City Conference girl-boy doubleheader this Saturday at Bishop Chatard.

Hamilton Southeastern’s girls beat Noblesville 9-0 Saturday, Aug. 30 in an HCC game.
Kherington Patton scored two goals for the Royals, with seven other players scoring one goal: Sloane May, Addison McClain, Sydney Cook, Blair Satterfield, Margaux Henning, Lauren Kutoloski, Bailey Sapp and Sophie Reising.
Southeastern is 3-0 in conference play and 6-0 overall; the Royals take on Avon tonight in another HCC contest. The Millers are 1-1 in the conference and 2-2 overall; they host Fishers tonight to continue HCC action.

Fishers went 1-2 last weekend at the Evansville Reitz Panther Classic.
On Friday, Aug. 29, the Tigers lost to Collierville (Tenn.) 1-0. Fishers rebounded the next day to beat Lexington Catholic 3-2, then fell to Castle 1-0.
The Tigers are 2-4-1 and play an HCC game at Noblesville tonight.
