Unconfirmed reports indicate Bingo fundraiser attendees thought it was totally gnarly that they could, like, raise $42,000, you know. Not one single thing was bogus all night. (Photo provided by Carmel Fire Department)

The Carmel Fire Auxiliary recently held its annual BINGO tournament, this year featuring a fun and nostalgic 1980s theme.
Raising more than $42,000, this totally “rad” event serves as a fundraiser for the Auxiliary’s long-standing Community Assistance Program (CAP), which provides essential support to local families in need. Since its founding in 1967, CAP has been a cornerstone initiative of both the Auxiliary and the Carmel Fire Department. The program delivers holiday meals, gifts for children, and staple pantry items to families experiencing hardship.

In 2024, CAP supported 175 families, and this year, CAP is aiming even higher, with a goal of helping 200 families in the Carmel community.
Would you like to help? Here’s how:
- Make a Tax-deductible donation. Checks can be made payable to CFD Auxiliary, with CAP written in the memo line. Mail to:
