Wild, Wild Westfield’s Premier Chili Cook-Off and Fall Fest returns Saturday, Sept. 27 from 4 to 7 p.m. This free event is for all people and families who want to enjoy a fun and relaxing afternoon of games, food, and music.
Enjoy face-painting, inflatables, pony rides, food, kids’ games, adult fun, petting zoo, silent auction, bounce houses, live music, and more. And, of course, what would Wild, Wild Westfield be without Manny the mechanical bull? More information can be found at crchurch.org/fall-fest-chili-cook-off.

Once you have registered, bring a crock pot of chili to CrossRoads by 4:15 p.m. Sept. 27. Local judges will determine the winners. Cash prizes will be given: $250 for first, $150 for second, and $100 for third, plus there will be a People’s Choice cash award.
The event is being held at 19201 Grassy Branch Road, Westfield, on the CrossRoads Church at Westfield’s campus.
This big event is part of CrossRoads Church at Westfield’s four-part strategic plan to meet, enjoy, know, and serve local neighbors. They invite others to serve with them.
“We provide three big events per year, our fun Fall Festival and Premier Chili Cook-Off and two family-friendly comedy events,” Lead Pastor Eric Lohe said. “The 10th annual free ‘Pizza and Punchlines’ will take place Feb. 7, 2026, at the IMMI Conference Center – 6 p.m. for food, 7 p.m. for comedy. We are bringing in three nationally-known comedians for a night of fun and pizza. Our second comedy event is our outstanding free ‘Summer Comedy Showcase,’ May 29, 2026, 7 p.m., featuring eight comedians from around the country at Westfield’s IMMI Conference Center.”
There are other “For Our Neighbor” strategies of CrossRoads Church at Westfield.
“We adopted our local Washington Woods Elementary School,” Lohe said. “Over the last seven years CrossRoads has provided school supplies, athletic shoes for any of the kids who need them, and assistance for food insecure students. We have been helping 15 to 20 families on school breaks who do not have enough food,” Lohe said.
“We work on needs that are not being addressed in the community,” Lohe said. “On the first Saturday of each month, 9 to 11 a.m., we provide free pet food so hopefully some of the resources people are using paying for their pets can be used for their families. We are the distribution point of Kids’ Coats in Westfield on Nov. 8, 2025. We also provide free Zumba at CrossRoads Church each Tuesday 7 p.m. and Saturday morning 8 to 9 a.m. for folks to get exercise. We sponsor a Celebrate Recovery program every Thursday night beginning at 6:15 p.m. for anyone who is struggling with a hurt, a habit, or a hang-up and we will be the collection point Nov. 17 to 22, 2025, for Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes.”
Additionally, in June 2025 CrossRoads provided free home repairs for 45 local Hamilton County senior adults and veterans, making a total of 104 homes repaired in the past four years. We provided mobile home skirting, decks, ramps, and interior and exterior painting.
