On Wednesday, Sept. 10, Carmel Mayor Sue Finkam and City Councilor Anita Joshi met with local JustServe leaders and team members to receive the JustServe City Award. This honor recognized Carmel as the first city in the state to receive this recognition.
In July, the City Council unanimously approved a resolution sponsored by Councilor Joshi that advanced Mayor Finkam’s commitment to fostering and encouraging a culture of volunteerism and community engagement. As part of that commitment, the city established a partnership with JustServe.org, a free service that allows organizations to promote service opportunities and gives volunteers a place to search for events and efforts in need of their help.
