The Guerin Catholic boys soccer team reached the 10-win mark for its season Tuesday.
The Class 2A No. 3 Golden Eagles cruised past Tri-West 6-0, improving their record to 10-4 for the year. Christian Zermeno scored four goals for GC and also assisted Will Scheu with his one goal. Scheu assisted Zermeno on one of his goals.
The Golden Eagles have two games left to play before the sectional, which begins the week of Oct. 6. Guerin Catholic plays at Yorktown at noon Saturday, then hosts West Lafayette next Thursday, Oct. 2.

The Fishers boys soccer team tied with Avon 1-1 Tuesday in its final Hoosier Crossroads Conference match of the season.
The 3A No. 8 Tigers scored their goal in the first half. Valentino Lapitz put the ball in the net, assisted by Andres Artigas. The Orioles scored their goal in the second half.
Fishers finished HCC play 3-1-3 and will place second in the conference. Brownsburg has already clinched the HCC championship; the 3A No. 2 Bulldogs are 6-0 with one game left to play. The Tigers are 8-2-4 overall and host McCutcheon Saturday.

Hamilton Southeastern played to a 0-0 tie with Zionsville Tuesday to finish its HCC schedule.
Riley Bedics collected three saves for the 3A No. 11 Royals, who completed conference play 2-1-4. Southeastern is 8-2-5 overall and plays its regular-season finale next Thursday, Oct. 2 against 3A No. 5 Carmel.

Westfield fell to Brownsburg 5-0 on Tuesday in an HCC match.
The Shamrocks are 2-4 in conference play and 5-7-1 overall. Westfield’s hosts 3A No. 1 Harrison at 7:30 p.m. tonight, then plays Saturday at Plainfield.
