Hamilton Heights lost in the semifinals of Sectional 24 at New Castle Friday, March 6, falling to Delta 70-61.
The Eagles led 15-12 after one quarter, then surged ahead 29-18 at halftime. Delta increased its lead to 48-34 after three periods, which allowed it to hold off a 27-point fourth quarter from the Huskies.
Rees Knapp and Jack Kakasuleff both scored 18 points for Heights, with Will DeStefano and Jackson Mikesell both adding nine points. Knapp made four 3-pointers, followed by three triples from both DeStefano and Mikesell.
Kakasuleff dished out eight assists, while Mikesell pulled six rebounds. Drew Woodruff collected five rebounds.
The Huskies finished their season 14-10, recovering from an 0-7 start to win 14 of their last 17 games.
