It all started in July 2024 when “The Green Building” moved next door to its original location and sat on blocks … until Friday, March 6, 2026. In September 2025, the Westfield Board of Public Works approved a contract with Brandt Construction to relocate and restore the “Green Building,” the city’s oldest commercial building. The historic landmark, which has housed many businesses over the centuries, was constructed in 1837.
