Paintings, prints, sculptures, digital artwork, and drawings created by Indiana University Kokomo students will be featured in the campus art gallery’s new exhibition opening Wednesday, Jan. 21.
Local students whose works will be featured include Avery Matthews of Sheridan and Alexandra Reiff of Carmel.
The Select Student Works opening reception is from 4 to 6 p.m. Wednesday in the Gallery, and includes work by nearly 25 new media, art, and technology (NMAT) students. Each piece was hand-picked by faculty to celebrate the talent, creativity, and growth of the campus’s emerging artists.
“We encourage people to come see this exhibit, to show support for our students, and for the opportunity to view the works being created by students in our NMAT program,” Gallery Director Carrie Baxter said.
The exhibition continues through Thursday, Feb. 19 in the Gallery, located in the IU Kokomo Library Building at 2300 S. Washington St. It is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and closed Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Admission and parking are free.
